This year's theme is Women of Character, Courage, and Commitment. The designation of the month of March for Women's History Month began in 1980.
Chattanooga State has some WHM events planned beginning after Spring Break. Here is a partial calendar of events:
- Tuesday, March 18 - Build Hope with Early Detection: Breast Health Awareness 11:00am-12:15pm
- Wednesday, March 19 - Mammogram Screenings 9:00am-3:00pm
- Wednesday, March 19 (date to be confirmed) – Carolyn Sherman (retired CIA personnel), Lunch and Learn, lecture
- Thursday, March 20 – Iron Jawed Angels movie screening
- March 27 (date to be confirmed) – Denise Kiernan (Girls of Atomic City), Lunch & Learn, lecture, and book signing
- Wednesday, April 2 – Second Life Chattanooga 11:00am-12:00pm
- Wednesday, April 2 – Just Talkin’ Human Trafficking 12:00pm-1:00pm
- Thursday, April 10 - Domestic Violence Presentation by Dr. Charlotte Boatwright 11:00am-12:15pm
