A Blog for New Books at KLIC!

We have a New Books blog! It is easy to find, easy to subscribe, and easy to read!  The blog platform is a part of the library's libguide platform. The new book blog can be found at http://library.chattanoogastate.edu/blog

Cool Features!

As a part of the libguide platform, each book cover and description is pulled from the KLIC library catalog. The most recent posts are listed on the top of the left hand side as pictured.

The posts are currently arranged by Library of Congress call numbers to make it easier to find new books in subject areas.  Each post has the title of the area covered; for example, Sciences, Medicine, and Agriculture (LC Category Q-S). 

Each post has its own specific link as well. For example, the May 5th post about the sciences can be found at: http://library.chattanoogastate.edu/blog/new-book-list-for-sciences-medicine-and-agriculture-lc-category-q-s-1242

Each post also has a tag and posts can search by tags such as Math & Science.



Another nice feature is the blog subscription. By subscribing, using your email address, subscribers will receive notifications of new posts. 



This blog, the Kolwyck Library blog hosted by Blogger, will continue as the main blogging platform for KLIC.  The New Books blog will be able to combine the features of libguides and make the new book list more presentable to view and to be up-to-date with new library books.
