When: We have to have all student email accounts
converted to Office 365 by Thursday Sep 5, 2013. Microsoft is planning
to start our replacement process on Wednesday, September 4th, 2013.
Impacts to students: During the upgrade, students may
experience a point in time, between one minute and one hour, where they will be
unable to access their Tiger Mail. Afterward this point in time, students
will be able to click on the blue paw and read their email as before.
What students will gain: Office 365 for education
includes email, instant messaging, group video and voice chat, and online
document viewing and editing. With Office 365, students can access the same Office 365
tools that businesses around the world use every day.
The upgrade will provide students personal file storage
through https://skydrive.live.com.
This is a personal account that will initially use the same username and
password as their Office 365 account.
