Summer in Full Color

Celebrate summer in full color! Get connected to resources and materials to offer support, provide historical context, and encourage community among those living in full color. Check out all the great events the Student Experience Office is offering to find more community and support.
Summer Reading Challenge
The 2026 Summer Reading Challenge got off to a great start in May, with over 40 participants! We received 14 submissions for the May Bonus Challenge, which invited readers to choose a book about motherhood. Titles included Grendel's Mother, Animal Dreams, The Yellow House, and The Need. Suzanne Harris, who read Elizabeth Strout's My Name is Lucy Barton, is the winner of the May challenge and will take home a $10 gift certificate for Pennington's Books on Main Street! Congratulations, Suzanne!
If you are feeling left out and want to join the Summer Reading Challenge, it's not too late! Just email (sara.coffman@chattanoogastate.edu) or stop by the library, and we will make sure you get signed up! Happy Summer Reading!
Juneteenth Display
Just after Summer in Full Color comes Juneteenth Celebration Week! In addition to the campus events hosted by the Student Experience Office, come check out our library resources celebrating culture, community, creativity, and Black excellence.
