What is that book icon on the website? New Books Blog!

There are four icons towards the bottom of the library's website. Two are identifiable as Facebook and as Twitter. But what are the other two icons? The image below gives that answer:

The RSS feed icon is the KLIC blog - the blog you are reading now. The book icon links to our new books blog! As a part of our libguide platform, each book cover and description is pulled from the KLIC library catalog.  The posts are currently arranged by Library of Congress call numbers to make it easier to find new books in subject areas.  Each post has the title of the area covered; for example, Sciences, Medicine, and Agriculture (LC Category Q-S).

Here is what a new book blog post looks like:

The linked title in each post takes you to the library catalog entry in OneKLIC for that book. A new books blog post is great way to see the book cover, get a short description, and to find the book location in KLIC!

The new books are then either displayed on the new books display shelves near the green cafe area, or they are placed in their new location on the shelves. Visit the new books blog by clicking the book icon on the website

You can subscribe too! Enter your email address within the subscription box found inside the new book blog, and whenever it is updated, you will know!
