2014 International Festival

Chattanooga State's International Festival is an event sponsored each year to showcase the different nationalities, cultures, and traditions present on our campus. This year the opening event featured a flag ceremony highlighting 200+ countries. Throughout the afternoon the amphitheater held performances starring talented dancers and musicians. But the biggest attraction by far, was the food! Local restaurants and bakers brought in their delicious goods for students to try for free. There were savory and sweet baked goods from a Taiwanese bakery, delicious Japanese style chicken and rice, Mexican style chips and salsa, French bread with wine, Indian curry, and much more. It's definitely not an event to miss!

The library was there to promote our newest database, Mango Languages. Students and staff can learn French, German, Spanish, Italian, or ESL for free! Mango is a great way to comprehensively learn a new language. Learn more about it here or check it out for yourself!

Our very own, Debora Ervin organized this successful event. She arranged for students to play "Spin to Win" and take home goodies from Mango Languages and other databases.
