Library Newsletter: Summer Salon Series, Librarians Present, Stress Relief Week, Survey

KLIC Summer Salon Series
For many, summer is for renewal and discovery as much as it is for rest and relaxation. This summer, we invite you to make TIME and SPACE for art, music, books, and films through participation in the KLIC Summer Salon Series for faculty and staff. It all starts on MAY 6! Come to the library's mobile classroom for a curated selection of films and books and more information about upcoming events, including the Big Library Read featuring Uncommon Measure: A Journey Through Music, Performance, and the Science of Time.

This highly readable memoir from classical violinist Natalie Hodges will appeal to readers and writers for its beautiful prose; to musicians and artists for its candid examination of the anxiety and joy of performing; and to anyone with an interest in time, space, neuroscience, and quantum physics. Besides offering unlimited eBook and audiobook access to this title through Libby as part of the Big Library Read, we are thrilled that author Natalie Hodges will be joining Sara Beth in conversation on May 27th. Mark your calendar for this virtual event and stay tuned for more information!

ChattState Librarians Present
What an amazing showing for ChattState Library at the Tennessee Library Association conference! Can you believe nine staff members contributed to four different presentations? And the best part – our former library dean was honored with the TNLA Honorary Membership!
