National Library Week 2023 - Ready, Set, Library!

Ready, set, library! National Library Week is April 7–13, 2024!

Libraries give us a green light to experience something truly special: a place to connect with others, learn new skills, pursue our passions, and find information for our academic course work. The Kolwyck Library at Chattanooga State offers a wide array of events, library instruction, research appointments, and resources.

So, get ready to explore, become inspired, and connect with others this National Library Week. The Kolwyck Library is here for you, all the way to the finish line, by being live online at library.chattanoogastate.edu  through chat, or through email, or talking by phone, or chatting at the public services desk, or teaching through library instruction, or helping with research in one-on-one research appointments. We are here to provide connections to your academic success!

National Library Week is an annual celebration by the American Library Association and libraries of all types across the country each April. The celebration highlights the valuable role libraries, librarians, and library workers play in transforming lives and strengthening our communities.

We celebrate our KLIC staff. We celebrate our libraries in this area and their staff. We celebrate the value of libraries in the global community. Because libraries are always here for you.

A quote from this year's American Library Association National Library Week honorary chair, Meg Medina:

DID YOU KNOW?
The Library of Congress is the largest library in the world, with more than 167 million items on approximately 838 miles of bookshelves, which would span roughly the distance from The Library of Congress in Washington, D.C., to Cape Canaveral, Florida.
