Late Night at the Library
The Kolwyck Library will host Late Night at the Library on Tuesday, November 14 from 5:00 pm - 10:00 pm! Pancakes with sausage and bacon will be served, sponsored by Student Experience, and we will have snacks and beverages as well. We’ll also have therapy dogs! We motivate and encourage students with a goal-setting board (complete with cheers from library staff), our prize wheel, research help from librarians, and tutors from the Writing Center. Everything is free! We can't wait to see you there!
Library Study Room Confirmation Process
Due to the high demand of the library's study rooms, the following procedure had to be put into place:
Going forward, when booking one of our study rooms (rooms A-E), the booking reservation must now be confirmed/verified.
This means that students will now have one hour to confirm their booking using their VALID Chatt State email addresses!
Students are only allowed to book study rooms for UP TO two hours per day and can book for up to a week in advance.
Whether booking day of or a week out, students MUST confirm with their email within one hour of booking time, or else the booking will be forfeited. The booking will stay in flux for the hour until a confirmation has been verified.
Find the Indigenous People / Native American Guide at https://library.chattanoogastate.edu/nativeamerica
From the guide, learn about the ChattState Ancestral Map and where to find some of the nearby Native American sites around Chattanooga. The focus this year is on books: Selected Books, Food Books, Joy Harjo Books, and OverDrive Books. A playlist of Native American music is available for listening from our Alexander Street database.
