Congratulations to Cathy Bell and Lori Warren, Tennessee Library Association Award Winners

It is with great pride that I announce that two of my colleagues at KLIC have been recognized at the state library association level for excellence!
Cathy Bell has won the Tennessee Library Association’s Support Staff Award.  The award recognizes excellence from a support staff member in Tennessee libraries.  Cathy won the Chattanooga State Staff Excellence Award last year.  Congrats to a wonderful Administrative Assistant/Departmental Secretary!
Lori Warren has won the Tennessee Library Association’s “Making a Difference” Award for her work as the library liaison to the STEM, Collegiate High, Global Scholars, and Early College students throughout Hamilton County and  beyond.  She also does an outstanding job as our Library Marketing, Outreach and the User Experience Librarian.  The “Making a Difference” Award: “Recognizes: An individual or group of individual in the state of Tennessee for outstanding contributions and continued support of a specific program and/or services that are instrumental in the growth or improvement of literacy, awareness and/or information delivery to the community or libraries.”
Both Cathy and Lori will receive these awards at the annual Tennessee Library Association conference in Memphis, TN in late April, 2015.
Congratulations to these wonderful ladies!  We are so proud of them (and all of our library colleagues) for truly “Making a Difference” every day!
Best,
