The Night Bookmobile by Audrey Neffenegger

Think graphic novels are just about super heroes? Think again. Stop by our graphic novel collection to find The Night Bookmobile and others!

The Night Bookmobile by Audrey Neffenegger (author of The Time Traveler's Wife) is about a woman who stumbles across a bookmobile that holds everything she's ever read. Diaries, cereal boxes, phone books, novels, and more. Alexandra is fascinated by the collection and the librarian in charge of it, Mr. Openshaw. The bookmobile makes several appearances throughout Alexandra's life, inspiring her to go to library school and become a successful librarian. Alexandra's dream is to work for Mr. Openshaw's library, but Mr. Openshaw always says that it's not possible. She sacrifices years of her life curating her personal library collection, neglects her partners, and abandons her career just for a chance to work on the Night Bookmobile. But is she willing to make the ultimate sacrifice for the job?
