Not So Frequently Asked Questions with Christen Robichaud!

Christen Robichaud, Evening and Weekend Library Supervisor
Christen.Robichaud@chattanoogastate.edu
Christen Robichaud joined the library last spring as the new Evening and Weekend Supervisor. You'll probably find her at the circulation desk in the evenings, but she's been known to moonlight in the reference department, write the monthly book reviews, and do a little interlibrary lending on the side.

Here a few things you probably didn't know about Christen:

1. What was the last job you had before coming to Chattanooga State?
I was an intern for the Birmingham Museum of Art. I worked in the library shelving books, creating Wikipedia articles about artifacts, helping curators, and training students workers.

2. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
London! I did a month long study abroad trip last year and fell in love. So much history in one place!

3. List your top 5 blogs.
Here a few of my favorites: (1) Ask-a-manager - She answers all kind of work questions and gives excellent advice. This was especially helpful during my job search. (2) Dear Scarlett - A blog diary to a young girl named Scarlett from her parents. She rocks a mohawk and her parents leave her all these beautiful sentiments about day-to-day living. It's really sweet! (3) M + C - My friends Matt and Carly's blog. Carly writes about their adventures traveling across country and posts beautiful photos of all the tasty treats she likes to make. (4) Postsecret - People anonymously send in their secrets and the entire world gets to read them every Sunday (5) Pop-Goes-The-Librarian - All about librarians in pop culture.

4. Favorite reality TV show?
I somehow get caught up in these more than I'd like to admit. Right now I've been watching a lot of Tia and Tamera reruns on the Style network.

5.Where are you going on your next vacation?
I'm dying to go to The Wizarding World of Harry Potter!

6. Favorite cartoon?
Currently: Adventure Time.

7. Top 5 bands?
Basically I am never without these bands on my ipod: Bright Eyes, The Decemberists, Jenny Lewis (in any one of her many bands), Neutral Milk Hotel, and Of Montreal.

8. Star Trek or Star Wars?
Star Trek

9. What's one book everyone should read?
A History of the World in 100 Objects by Neil MacGregor

10. What's something readers probably don't know about you?
I have had tea in the cafe where JK Rowling wrote Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone!
