Students: Where in the World is the Library now?

Dear Students:
You may wonder “Where in the WORLD is the Library now?”  Good question!  We are still here but not quite ready to open our doors again.  Since June, we have been renovating your library to create an even more wonderful place to study, collaborate and conduct research.  Our “move in” date is yet to be determined.  BUT…. That doesn’t mean that we are not ready for business!

Here are our plans for “Kolwyck Library Lite” until we can properly reopen.

Please also consult a page made especially for you on our website:  Services for Students.  The links listed below are all on there but are listed here for ease of use.

NOTE: Since we are limited for computer space, please use computers for school work only so that others may have a chance to use them as well!

Location #1: The Main Kolwyck Library is located in the IMC Building in the Reading Center – Room #215 (2nd Floor)

•    Reserve Items for Classes – Available at the Reading Center service desk.
•    Reference Assistance – During library hours and by appointment (see below).
•    “RAD” Sessions:  The Library is launching a new service this spring for students and faculty alike.  We are calling them “RAD” sessions (“Research Advisory Discussions”).  Through a sign up form (TBA), library patrons make contact with the library’s reference librarians to make an appointment for one-on-one research consultations.   Consultation length may vary: 15 minutes – 1 hour dependent on the subject material and the depth in which the patron wishes to explore.  Stay tuned to our library website for more details: library.chattanoogastate.edu
•    Computer Access & Printing – 23 designated computers with print management.  10¢ per page cash or 6¢ per page with Print Card. Reloadable Print Cards can be purchased in the library for $1.00.

Standard office software only and internet access available.

Location #2: Overflow Computer Lab for Main Library is located in the IMC Building in the Center for Distributive Education – Room #205 (2nd Floor)
