Library Lite

We've had a lot of questions about the library during the renovation, so here's what you need to know about Library Lite!

Library Lite is located upstairs in the Reading Lab, Room 215 of the IMC building. We have 23 dedicated computers for library patrons as well as librarians and staff on hand to help with research papers, tech questions, and book checkouts. Don't be afraid to journey up those stairs and pop in to do some homework.

Some great things available to our patrons at our temporary location:

Librarians!
Black-and-White Printer
Copier
Scanner (bring a flash drive to save)
Reserve textbooks
Chattanooga Time Free Press

So, for those questions...

Are we closed? Nope! We're open our regular hours Monday-Thursday 7:30 AM - 9:00 PM and Friday 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM.

Have we gone bookless? No we are not going bookless! We have several reserve textbooks on hand for students as well as our ENTIRE library collection through the Book Retrieval Form on our website. Fill out the form and we'll have the book waiting for you in less than 24 hours.

Do you have any Audio Books? At this time we're not circulating audio books, DVDs, or magazines.

Do we have a fax machine? Sadly no fax machine for the summer. We're also without color printing, but we do have a black-and-white printer and copier for students. Copies are $.10 a page and limited printing is available.

How do I use the library off campus? Just visit our website, library.chattanoogastate.edu, and use your TigerID to sign in (TigerWeb, elearn, etc.).

There are a few new rules while we're residing in the Reading Lab.

(1) Drinks are not allowed at the computer desks.
(2) Cell phone ringing and calls are prohibited in the lab.
(3) Children are discouraged from using the Reading Lab. In addition to having limited space, classes are held in the lab throughout the day and students are routinely working on tests and difficult assignments.
(4) Reading Lab computers are for school work use only.

The new library is going to be AMAZING and we can't wait to show it off this fall. (Interested in seeing our progress? Check out some snapshots of the renovation at the Library Renovation Blog.) But in the meantime, don't forget to stop by to check out our temporary digs!
