We will miss Vicky

The message on the cake says it all. After over 30 years as the chief librarian at Chattanooga State, Vicky Leather will be retired as of June 30, 2012.

Her last official day on the job as Dean of Library Services was June 6. The college held a retirement reception on June 5th and the library staff held a library staff reception on June 3rd.

A graduate of the School of Information Sciences at the University of Tennessee, Vicky was honored by the School as a Distinguished Alumni for the 1970s decade.

In addition to her years as a librarian in an academic setting at Chattanooga State, Vicky worked at a school library, at a branch of the public library, and in a medical library. She served as president of the Chattanooga Area Library Association from 1978-1979.  Her leadership of the Chattanooga State Augusta R. Kolwyck Library began in 1981.

Thank you, Vicky, for your wonderful years of leadership!
